He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Witeman Hawkins and Florence Hawkins (Husk); his wife Connie Matot; his children, Cynthia Payne (Lee) of Vergennes and Charles Hawkins; his pet Bubbles of Ferrisburgh; his grandsons, David Hawkins (Mariah) of Cambridge and Daniel Hawkins of Ferrisburgh; his great grandchildren, Jaelin, Amara and Desmond; his sister Sonie Sears of Middlebury; his aunts, Joanne Essex, Louise (Jim Parkinson), Anna Husk and Alice Husk; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Costello (Andy) and David Matot (Diana) of Colchester. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
