It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Anna Mae (Shields) Benton (Vergennes, Vermont), born in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont, who passed away on October 3, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Shields and Agnes Shields (Wilson); her spouse Medwin "Med" A. Benton; her brothers, Paul Shields, Wilson Shields, John Shields, Arthur Shields and Kenneth Shields; her sisters-in-law, Arlene Shields, Evelyn Shields and Ruth Tessari (Shields); and her stepchildren, Sheila Benton and Medwin A. Benton Jr. Anna.
She is survived by: her sister Martha McConnell (David); her sisters-in-law, Carol Shields and Marlene Shields; and her stepsons, Curtis Benton and Barth Benton. She is also survived by wives), six step-grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren, and her many nieces and nephews.
