He was predeceased by: his parents, Azarias Raoul (Zeke) and Celia Belle Caron (Sheltra); his brother Adrian Caron; his parents-in-law, Francis and Jeannette Cheney; his brother-in-law Francis Cheney, Jr.; and his pet Gizmo.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Cheney of Troy, VT; his children, Lisa Westover (Randy) of Derby Line, Laurie Roberge (Rick) of Derby, Joseph Caron, Jr. (Karen) of San Antonio and James Caron (Liberty) of Newport Center, Vermont.; his grandchildren, Travis Bathalon, Kyla of Derby Line, VT, Jeremy Bathalon of Whitefield, NH, Amanda Westover of Derby Line, VT, Adam Westover (Allison Fournier) of Derby Line, VT, Bradley Roberge (Dekota) of Derby, Kristen Roberge (Colin Sykes) of Derby, Amber Roberge (David Desrochers) of Derby, Rejean Roberge of Newport Center, Joey Caron (Autumn Cortez) of San Antonio, Destine, Shane Caron of San Antonio and Ivy Boomer (Davey) of Newport Center, Vermont.; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Poulin of Richford, VT, Bonnie Stone of Irasburg, Marie Cheney of Newport, Donna Cheney of Derby and Dana Cheney (Kathy) of Newport. He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Curtis-Britch & Bouffard Funeral Home (37 Lake Rd, Newport, VT 05855).
