He was predeceased by: his parents, John Emerick, Sr. (Jack) and Pauline Brady-Emerick. He is survived by: his nieces, Julie Emerick (Ryan Story) and Kathy Emerick; his nephew Jack Emerick'; his great-nephews, Zephaniah Story and Jack Emerick; and his great-niece Natalie Emerick.
He served proudly as an MP in Vietnam, organized donations for the orphanages while there and achieved several medals of commendation. His love of Railroading (which was a family trait) landed him working for several different railroads, was on the TV show "Tomorrow" in 1975 for the "Blue Comet Special" and helped start the "Mainline Steam Foundation" with his brother Jack.
