He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Merrill; and his sister Winifred Fortier. He is survived by: his parents, Walter R. and Frances Merrill (Waters); his children, MaryJane Stoneberg of Poultney, Joann Greene of Rutland and Glenn Merrill of Tinmouth; and his siblings, Mildred Allen of Clarendon and Ralph Merrill of West Rutland. He is also survived by five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
