He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Earle G. Anderson and Betty M. Anderson; his daughters, Metzi and Robyn; his former wife Moira Durnin; his sons-in-law, Ross Scatchard and Walt May; and his friend Sterling Valley.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Gar's memory to the Sterling Falls Gorge Natural Area Trust, (c/o Jared Hendler, 91 Sterling Gorge Rd., Stowe VT 05672) or to the Stowe Community Church.
