Though Don may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Hawkins and Dorothy Hawkins (Gilman). He is survived by: his daughter Dana Hawkins-Paoletto; his grandson Landon; his son Todd Hawkins; his siblings, Gary, Glenna and Diane (Ernest); and his partner's child Kelsey of Woodbury. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
His last selfless act of kindness was organ donation.
