He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexandra Gray and Lucille Gray; and his siblings, Roger Gray, Everett Gray, Melvin Gray, Betty Morse, Shirley Riley and Sally Howe.

He is survived by: his wife Hilda Gray; his children, Robert A. Gray Jr., Timothy Gray, Deborah Clark and Judy Uttero; and his siblings, John Gray, Maxine Aldrich, Madeline Green and Floria Quillia. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
