He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Simpson and Alverne Simpson-Hutchinson (Lee); his stepfather Malcolm Hutchinson; his grandparents, Pelatiah Lee and Ola Gray; his uncle Robert Rickets; and his sister Debra Simpson Blodgett.
He is survived by: his wife Valerie Simpson of South Royalton, VT; his son Anthony Simpson of Norwich, VT; his granddaughters, Alexis and Allyson; his stepmother Rachel Hutchinson; his stepgrandchildren, Lilith, Damon, Kora and Ayla; his sisters, Sandra Simpson Lorton, Kim Simpson and Charlene Hutchinson; and his stepsiblings, Malcolm Hutchinson, Everett Hutchinson, Diana Pollard, Connie Goodchild and Gwen Fisher. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
