Karl Edward Balentine Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karl Edward Balentine (South Burlington, Vermont), born in Plainfield, Vermont, who passed away on February 24, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Balentine and Ella Wheeler Wilcox Anderson (Balentine); and his siblings, Michael Balentine and Willa Balentine. He is survived by: his children, Adam Balentine (Jessica) of Vancouver, BC and Beth Oyler (Joshua) of West Grove, PA; the mother of his children Nancy Walker of Ashburn, VA; his grandchildren, Ziah, Lochlan, Coburn Oyler of West Grove, PA, Tyler and Chase Balentine of Vancouver, BC; and his siblings, Betsy Osbourne (George), Berta King, Martha Chadwick, Charles Balentine (Gail), Nancy Balentine and Becki Libick (Fred). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

In an effort to respect social distancing protocol and protect the health of all those who knew and loved Ed, the family will be postponing a formal service at this time until later in the year.

Pearle Plowman wrote a sympathy message

“Karl is greatly missed. He was a friend that we considered family. He was the soloist at our wedding in 1967 and at my sister's internment service in 2014. He was a very close friend of Pearle's brother Alan, in fact he saved Alan from downing when they were young. See you up yonder in our forever home, Karl. Arlyn and Pearle Plowman”
