He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carol Markey; his children, Edward W. Markey (Mary Neagoy) of Shaker Hts and Kathryn L. Markey (Emmett Smith) of New York, NY; his grandchildren, Alice, Russell Markey of Shaker Hts, Xavier and Jude Markey-Smith of New York, NY.; his siblings, Terry McGovern of Oradell, NJ, Rev. Earle Markey, S. J. of Worcester, MA and David Markey (Dorothy Naber Markey) of Hilton Head, SC; and his parents, Leona and Edward P. Markey, Sr.. He was also cherished by 20 nieces and nephews.
