It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Russell Maffitt of Shelburne, Vermont, born in South Bend, Indiana, who passed away on January 18, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Russell Maffitt and Lillian Maffitt (Nelson); his wife Elizabeth Frey (Betty); his sons, Tom Maffitt (Peg) of Burlington and David Maffitt (Judy) of St. Louis; his grandchildren, Zoe and Kevin Maffitt of St. Louis; his sister-in-law Mary Ann Butts of South Bend; his stepgranddaughter Kelli Ford (Chris); and also, Kate, Liam of South Burlington and Betty.
During this time of Covid, we will not be having public mass or gathering.
