He was predeceased by: his sisters, Mary Alice Connolly and Nancy Batal; and his brothers-in-law, Jack Connolly, Jack Batal and Charles Boyle.
He is survived by: his children, James Scanlan and Mary Scanlan (White); his spouse Brigid Chick; his daughter Anne Linton Elston; his son-in-law David Elston of Winooski; his daughters, Amanda Goodison (Max) of Exeter, England Lachapelle and Wendy Lachapelle (Marc) of Burlington; his granddaughter Emily Goodison; and his siblings, James Scanlan (Alice) of Winchester and Priscilla Boyle of Westport. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
