He is survived by: his former wife Shirley Ziemer of Colchester, VT; his children, Meribeth Ziemer (Robert Bajak) of Gowanda, NY, Lynne Meeks, Gary Ziemer, David Ziemer of Essex, VT and Douglas Ziemer; and his grandchildren, John Schenne of Parker, CO, Meredith Wright, Melanie Olzcak of West Falls, NY, Julia Meeks, Zachary Ziemer of Glens Falls, NY and Erik Ziemer of Burlington, VT. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
