He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Nelson and Lottie Nelson (Gochee); his son Douglas Donald Nelson; his father-in-law Norman Paquin (Goldie); his siblings, Robert Jr., Scott "Bill", John, Phillip "Bingie", Paul Nelson, Lillian Dauphin (Henry), Harriet Davis (Albert), Florence "Tootie" Mathewson (Derwood), Frances "Frannie" Neil and Jayne Nelson; and his close friends, Paul Morse (Dottie), Ray Coutu Sr. (Sara) and Bernard Neil.
He is survived by: his former wife Geraldine Paquin; his wife Gerry; his children, Tammy Westcott (David) of Lyndonville and Gregory Nelson (Lottie) of Lyndonville; his granddaughters, Casey Boucher (Chris Ouellette) of Kennebunk, ME, Samantha Brown (Corey) of Lyndonville and Ashley Nelson of St. Johnsbury, VT; his great grandchildren, Zachary, Carson, Elsie Brown, Hailey Boucher and Kaiden Lavoie; his siblings, Ronald Nelson, Sr. of St. Johnsbury and Ruth Mary Woodward (Leonard) of Danville, VT; and his sisters-in-law, Patty Nelson of Sheffield, VT, Barbara Nelson of St. Johnsbury, VT and Nancy Aubin (Ronald). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
