He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth P. Schaffner and Ivan R. Schaffner Sr.; and his brother I. Richard Schaffer Jr.. He is survived by: his pet Gussie; his sister Meredith Gilbert (Merry Ann); his wife Tamra W. Schaffer; and his close friends, Rotweiller, Gussie and Jeff. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
