He was predeceased by: his sons, Walter Whitcomb and Richard Whitcomb; his grandchildren, Barbara Jean Whitcomb and Rance Peck; his great grandchild Chad Lumbra; his niece Cynthia Gates; and his children-in-law, Charles "Bob" Fenoff and Barbara Whitcomb.
He is survived by: his spouses, Myrle Whitcomb (Woodmansee) and Myrle Leithead; his children, Gary Leithead (Bonnie) of Lyndonville, Judy Lamont (Frank) of Florida, Jean Peck, Herb Horst of Florida, Janet Fenoff, Arnold "Spunky" Dodge of St. Johnsbury Center, Bernard Whitcomb and Judy Ogata of California; and his sister Barbara Ticehurst. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
