He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Mayo and Dometille Mayo (Bernier). He is survived by: his son Chris Mayo (Suzanne) of Billerica, Mass; his granddaughters, Natalie and Remi; his daughter Karen Mayo Marsh (Jeff) of Wells; his granddaughters, Ava and Poppy; his stepgrandchildren, Olivia Marsh, Allison Marsh and Evan Marsh; his daughter Janet Mayo (Jason McCann) of Kennebunk; his grandchildren, Adrianne and Michael; his sister Marceline Nadeau; his siblings-in-law, Barbara Thurston, Ernest Thurston of St. Johnsbury, Virginia Cross and Ronald Cross of St. Johnsbury; and his wife Priscilla Cutting. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Donations in his memory may be made to Food for the Poor or Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough, Maine.
