He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gaines and Alice Dorothy Barrett (Morrill); and his sisters, Susan Ackerson and Rachel Tomosieski. He is survived by: his wife Laura Barrett of Waterford; his sons, Travis Barrett (Sandra) of Waterford, Tristan Barrett of St. Johnsbury, Trevor Barrett (Hannah Simons) of St. Johnsbury, Trace Barrett (Ashley) of Ft. Collins, CO and Troy Barrett (Paige) of Danville, VT; his sister Helen Watson of St. Johnsbury; his brother-in-law Kenneth Ackerson of Franklin, NH; and his grandchildren, Eli, Eden, Solstice, Finnegan, Brahms, Caleb, Kenzee, Taylor, Tucker, Benjamin, Brae, Larke, Riley, Taryn and Tyler. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
