It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence Mathewson of Saint Johnsbury, Vermont, born in Bath, New Hampshire, who passed away on September 1, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Nelson and Lottie Nelson (Gochee); her husband Derwood W. Mathewson; her sons, David and Jay Mathewson; and her siblings, Harrett, Fran, Pat, John, Scott, Phillip and Paul.
She is survived by: her children, Tina Scott of Florida, Robin Allen of Lyndonville, VT, Tammy Tinkham (Rodney) of Groton, VT, Lisa Morse of St. Johnsbury and Rachel Hannett of Lisbon; and her siblings, Lillian Dauphin, Ruthie Woodard (Leanard), Jayne Nelson, Donnie Nelson (Gerry) and Ronnie Nelson. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
