He was predeceased by: his parents, Esta Hammond, Sr. (Kincaid) and Eugene Hammond; and his siblings, Buddy, Robert, Margret Trusello, Regina Cloak, Barbara Abel and Lennie Hale Grey.
He is survived by: his mother-in-law Patricia L. McAllister; his wife Patricia Hammond of St. Johnsbury, VT; his children, Thomas Hammond of Smyrna, DE, Nicole Wright (Lee) of Middletown, DE, Melissa Hammond of Deleware, Crystal Hammond Childs (Robert) of Greensboro, SC and Gina Hammond of Maryland; his stepchildren, Justin Clark (Jennifer) of Concord, VT, Philip Clark (Robert) of Essex, VT and Samantha Eastman (Jason) of East Montpelier, VT; and his siblings, Alton Kincaid of Wilmington, DE and Norma Layton (Dennis) of New Castle, DE. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
