It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Clifford Layton Sr. (Saint Johnsbury, Vermont), born in Waltham, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 28, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Asbury Layton, Sr. and Elizabeth Ann Layton (Malloy); his siblings, Jesse and Elizabeth Matthews; and his daughter Christina M. Layton.
He is survived by: his wife Diane of St; his son Charles C.; his sisters, Dede Pelot (Maurice) of Monroe, NH and Diane "Cappy" Layton; his mother-in-law Harriet Sheehan of Concord, VT; his brother-in-law Bob Carberry (Teressa Cyr); his granddaughter Shana Lund (Randy Ott); and his great grandchild Jasmine Cole. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made in Charlie's name to either Toys for Tots in your area or to an animal shelter of one's choice.
