He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Field and Grace Field (Kimball); his brother Robert Field (Floreda); and his brothers-in-law, Pete O'Brien and Walter Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Daisy Tracy; his children, Cheryl Field Twarog (John) of Louisiana and James A. Field II (Julianne) of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Connor, Danielle Field, Evan and Cam Twarog; and his siblings, Helen (Dick Sheldon), Lois O'Brien (Kathy Stewart) and Stanley Field (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
It was Jim's wish that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Fairfax Fire Department, c/o James A. Field Fire Station, 15 Goodall Street, Fairfax, Vermont 05454.
