It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Iris Barbara Pelkey (Saint Albans, Vermont), who passed away on October 15, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Thibault and Grace Thibault (Bell); her husband Maynard I. Pelkey; and her siblings, Orin Thibault (Joyce) and Betty Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Pelkey (Joan) of St. Albans and Kim Heyer (Jason) of Fairfax; her grandchildren, Matt, Amy Heyer, Sara and Mike Basiliere; her stepgrandchildren, Jessica, Marc Leo, Allen Metivier and Erin Metivier; her great grandchildren, James, Joe Heyer, Haylee Iris and Harper Basiliere; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Owen, Ethan Leo, Patience and Kingdom Semahar; her brother-in-law Charles Martin (Shelley) of Swanton; her niece Vickie Pelkey; and her close friends, Louise and George King. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that memorials be made to the Franklin County Rehab Center, 110 Fairfax Road, St. Albans, Vermont 05478.
