She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert R. Cook and Jessiemae V. (Decker); her husband Arthur "Red" Hughes, Jr.; her son Charles Hughes; her brother Richard Cook; and her great grandchild Summer Dashno.
She is survived by: her children, Ann (Mark Pitt), Arthur Hughes III (Jennifer Boyer) of Highgate, Susan (David Devine), Tammy (Reginald Dolan) and Howard Hughes of Saint Albans; and her siblings, Ethel Ross of Florida, Theodore (Ann Cook), Howard Cook of Milton and Delbert Jr. (Brenda Cook). She is also survived by her ten grandchildren as well as eight great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
