She was predeceased by: her parents, Earle D. Hartwell and Dorothy Gould Hartwell (Mitchell); her husband Robert C. Godfrey, Jr.; her brothers, Harry D. and Frederick C. Hartwell; and her granddaughter Sarah Beth Godfrey.
She is survived by: her children, Caroline Brown (Wayne), Judith, Robert Godfrey (Ilse) and Martha Burns (Peter).
