He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Ponto and Marion Ponto (Soulia); his son Douglas Ponton; and his siblings, Raymond Ponto Jr., David Ponto, Arthur Ponton, Thersea Elsesser and Aline Chamberlain.
He is survived by: his wife Marguerite Ponton (Johnson); his daughters, Maureen Duchesne (Bruce) of Wallingford, Michelle Farmer of Evansville, IN, Debbie Bennick (James) of Shrewsbury, Patty Epkey (John) of Greenwood, IN and Karen Ponton of Pittsford; and his siblings, Harold Ponto of Burlington, Robert Ponto of Rutland, Richard Ponton, Arnold Ponto, Mildred Buffum, Barbara Lampke of North Carolina, Margaret Singleton, Marie Mylott and Mary McDevitt of Fairfax, VT.. He is also survived by 12 grandkids, 22 great grandkids, and 1 great great grandchild.
