It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Alice Thurston (Rutland, Vermont), born in Proctor, Vermont, who passed away on February 18, 2022, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Provin and Alice Provin (Wright); her mother-in-law Maxine Thurston; and her sister Sara Gallipo. She is survived by: her husband Charles Thurston of Brandon; her children, Mackenzie Thurston (Colby Hescock) of Mendon, Everett (Jessica Thurston) of North Clarendon, Pierce (Maeghan Thurston) of Forest Dale and Emmett Thurston of Rutland; her siblings, Pamela (James Farnsworth), Sandra (Richard Conway), Nora (Earl Audet), Donna Provin (Mike Frey), Lloyd "Bud" Provin Jr. (Sue Giotta), Brian Provin (Jamie Holt) and Earle (Laurie Provin); her father-in-law Harmon Thurston; her siblings-in-law, Lee (Susan Thurston), Lynn Thurston (Janice Morong), Jeff (Michelle Thurston) and Tom Gallipo; and her grandchildren, Eldon, Ada and Raegan Thurston. She is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

“Martha has always been an incredible person!! You all are so fortunate to have had her in your lives and to hold her in your memories. My favorite memory was just being able to spend time with her at her home, with her amazing family, when we were in 6th grade. I was the new kid, and her neighbor, and she made me feel so welcome. Much love to all of you.”
