She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred Tyler Stewart and Thomas Edward Stewart; her husband John Alden Peters; her daughter Mary Beth Peters; her sister Barbara Stewart Colliton; and her niece Julie Colliton.

She is survived by: her children, Patricia Foster (Robert), Martha Smith (Michael), John Peters (Patricia), Thomas Peters (Cindy), Michael Peters (Christine), Mark Peters (Sharon) and Karl Felkl (Mary); her grandchildren, Sarah Poissant (Richard), Robert Foster Jr., Jeff Barrows (Nikki), Krista Reis (Sunrey), Abigail Hurson (Brendan), Kevin Smith (Kylie), Owen Smith, Michael Smith Jr. (Fiona Drayne), Nicole Coli (Robert), Beth Uniacke (Michael), Katie Peters, Kelsey Dunn (Patrick), Daniel Mercer, Sean Peters (Kate MacLeod), Emily Tempel (Max), Jack Peters, Lindsey Hendrickson (Jake) and Brooke Felkl; her nieces, Meg, Amy and Sue; and her caregivers, Sue Williams, Vicki Aronson and Dr. Bruce Bullock. She is also survived by nineteen greatgrandchildren.
