It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Dolores (Stapleton) Hughes in Rutland, Vermont, who passed away on March 31, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick Stapleton and Dorothy Stapleton of Rutland; her husband Gerald Hughes; her daughter Joan Marie Hughes; and her siblings, Agnes Duclo and David Stapleton.
She is survived by: her siblings, Mary Margaret Parker, Patrick Stapleton, Edward Stapleton (Diane), Roseann Vitagliano (Salvatore), Judy Stella (Albert) and Dorothy Stapleton (Bruce); her children, Gerald Hughes (Ralph) and Chris Hughes; and her grandchildren, Sean, Eric, Tanya Choiniere, Nate, Nathan and Lauren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ the King Church (66 S Main St, Rutland, VT 05701).
Arrangements are by Aldous Funeral Home and any donations in her memory may be made to Christ the King Church.
