It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John C. Hughes (Rutland, Vermont), born in West Pawlet, Vermont, who passed away on February 8, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Hughes and Mary Hughes (Jackson); his wife Sharon Hughes (Gilbert) of Mendon; his children, Brian Hughes (Lynn) of Mendon, Debby Woodard (Dave) of Wellington, FL, Joanne Penfield (Ted) of Concord, MA and Judy Larson (Kurt) of Sudbury, MA; and his sisters, Carol White of Middleton, MA, Beverly Blake, Roberta Brown and Sherry Switzer. He was also cherished by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rutland County Humane Society, 765 Stevens Rd. Pittsford, VT 05763.
