He was predeceased by: his parents, Mariano Rotella and Carmela Rotella; his wife Laura Bottomley; and his siblings, Josephine Rotella, Irene Ryan (Rotella), Nancy Lemmo (Rotella), Sylvia Manez (Rotella), Edith Carrigan (Rotella), Dea Rotella and Roy Rotella.
He is survived by: his children, Guy Rotella (Mary Jane Marro) of Belmont, Robert Rotella (Darlene Avery) of Keswick, Susan Biro (Stephen) of Concord, Mary Anne Rotella (Mark Butler) of San Francisco and Jay Rotella (Martha Riley) of Bozeman, Montana; his granddaughters, Casey Baruzzini (Rotella) and Sophia Rotella; his great grandchildren, Lucy, Max, Laura, Thomas, George, Maria, Elena and Emilia Baruzzini; and also Michael. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
