He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathias Makovec and Rosa Makovec (Zeman); his wife Grace Marie Makovec (Schlette); and his son Don Makovec. He is survived by: his sons, Gary Makovec (Susan) and Richard Makovec; and his granddaughters, Heather and Diana.
