She is survived by: her mother Mary Gates (Gibbons) of Rutland; her husband Eugene "Mike" Rivers of North Clarendon; her children, Frederick Forrest of North Clarendon, Leon Forrest of Brandon and Mary Whitney of Rutland; and her siblings, Chet Gates, Dawn Rivers of Rutland, Elizabeth Benson of Virginia and Darlena Smith of Virginia. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Charity was a manager at Mobil and Dunkin Donuts in Rutland and Castleton.
