With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William Wintersteen of Richmond, Vermont, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. William left this world on November 21, 2024 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Wintersteen and Virginia Wintersteen (Ruffner); his uncle Harrison; his aunt Marianna Todd; and his siblings, Edward Wintersteen and Mary Louise Cufetelli.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie Wintersteen; his children, Paul Wintersteen (Sharon) and Christine Wintersteen (Dan Olds); his grandchildren, Alex Wintersteen (Abbie), Caroline Ginter (Kevin), Abby Nevius (Jeffrey), Benjamin and Abram Wintersteen; his great grandchildren, Theo, Jackson, Henry, Nora and Nathan; his brother John Wintersteen; and his close friend Bill.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gifford Funeral Home (22 Depot St, Richmond, VT 05477). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the First Congregational Church of Burlington (38 S Winooski Ave, Burlington, VT 05401).
Donations may be given to Benderson Family Heart Center, part of Boston's Children's Hospital where his granddaughter has received the very best in cardiac care.
