He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Charland and Edith Charland (Lawrence); and his siblings, Phyllis LaPlant (Charland), Lawrence "Bucky" Charland, Walter Charland and Paul Charland.
He is survived by: his friend Scott Thomas; his wife Betty Charland (Champney); his children, Karen Charland and Jerry Charland; his daughter-in-law Kim Charland (Martin); his grandchildren, Anna (Charland), Emily Charland (RJ Moore), Courtney Charland (John Keen), Katie Charland (Shawn Careau) and Allison Charland; and his great grandchildren, Devyn Sargent, Daxton Sargent, Izek Careau, Rosemary Careau, Harlow Careau, Kai Anne Careau and Blake Careau. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
