He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Mears and Myrtie Mears (Reynolds); and his brothers, George and Bruce. He is survived by: his wife Shelia; his daughter Heidi Mears of Arizona; his stepsons, William Goodspeed of Claremont, NH and Ed Goodspeed of Springfield, VT; his siblings, Jeanie Lyman of Lebanon, NH, June Swenor of Bethel, Carl Mears, Jr of Ascutney, Richard Mears of Hancock, Lois Christie of North Randolph, Betty McCrillis of Bethel, Donna Mears of West Braintree and Peggy Frary of South Royalton; and his great grandchild Many. He is also survived by Many nieces and nephews.
