He was predeceased by: his parents, James K. Howe and S. Marion Howe (Whitney); his wife Patricia Howe (Savage) of Randolph, VT; his siblings, Charlie Howe, John Howe, Abbie Mitchell, Mary White, Mark Howe, Ida Wright, Ellen Hamilton and Hazel McNamara; and his granddaughter Whitney Patricia Howe.
He is survived by: his children, Jane Howe MacFarland (Charles) and Joel Howe (Karen Downing); his grandchildren, Meghan MacFarland Smith (Derek), Brinton MacFarland, Amanda Howe and Emily Howe; and his great grandchildren, Maximus and Rockford Smith. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations can be made in Luke's name to Grace Cottage Hospital, Townshend, VT; Alice Peck Day Hospital in Lebanon, NH; or Gifford Hospital in Randolph, VT.
