He is survived by: his parents, Henry Jay Coon and Charlene Coon of Bennington; his stepparents, Paul Woodard of Bennington and Jodie of Shaftsbury, VT.; his stepsiblings, Aaron Thomas and Tanga Lee Thomas of Bennington; his grandparents, Charles Noe of Wakefield, MA and Gloria Pailley of Cohoes, NY.; his aunt Michelle Noe of Wakefiend, MA; his niece Kira Martin of Bennington; his nephews, Devin Martin of Bennington, Justin Jay Coon Jr and Pownal; and also Kirsten Noe of Wakefield, MA.
In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Shelby Jay Coon may be to the scholarship in his name the "Shelby Jay Coon Memorial Firefighters Scholarship" for graduating seniors, who are going to firefighter's school through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201.
