He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Gilman and Helen Gilman (Chamberland); his brother Richard Gilman; his sons, Walter P. "Bud" Gilman IV of Rutland and Nathan Gilman of Rutland; his siblings, Michael Gilman of San Francisco, Mark Gilman of Rutland and Alicia Munukka (Randall Munukka) of Rutland; and his nephews, Ethan and Connor Munukka.
