He was predeceased by: his parents, Lavine B. Smith and Sarah Gaiotti (Smith); his wife Brenda Sweet of Fair Haven, VT.; and his sister Anne. He is survived by: his children, Latisha, Cherly, Sakiena and Rachel; his brother-in-law John McHenry; his nephews, John, James and Justin; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jack, Eli, Amelia and Ansel; his siblings-in-law, Sandra Sweet of Wells, VT and Reggie Sweet (Joyce); his nephews, Scott and Matt; his niece Andrea; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Heather, Rilynn and Rowan; his cousins, Nate Gaiotti, Edward Gaiotti and Kay Moss; and his friend Rich Hulett.
Nate would like any memorial contributions to go to either the Pember Library, Slate Valley Museum, Pawlet Historical Society or the Alpha Gamma RHO Foundation.
