He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Sr. Waite and Joanne Waite (Groff) of Pawlet; and his nephew Mark Waite of Poultney, Vt.. He is survived by: his siblings, Donald Jr. of Pawlet, Peter Sr. of Pownal, Paul of West Rutland and Kathleen of Pawlet.

The family requests donations be made in Douglas' name to the American Cancer Foundation.
