He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley James, and Dorothy James, Sr. (Walker); his former wife Ruth M. Cooke; his brother Stanley James Jr.; his daughter-in-law Lynn James; and his wife Gloria Schulte.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen James of Orwell, Samuel James (Barbara) of West Rutland, Sharon Fletcher (Andre) of Orwell and Suzanne Taggart (David) of Castleton. He is also survived by Eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
