Norman Nees Miller Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Norman Nees Miller of Norwich, Vermont, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Norman Nees may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Judith (Daler); his stepchildren, Scott and Amy; his son-in-law Tom; his grandchildren, Cabot, Ula Bay, Hazel, Ren Taiga and Norm; and also Lindsay. He was also cherished by his family, friends.
In the early 1970s Norman received a grant from the National Science Foundation to produce the ethnographic film series The Faces of Change.
