She was predeceased by: her parents, Comery Cook and Mattie Cook (Richardson); her husband Elmer C. Brown; and her brothers, Gordon, Howard and Leonard Cook.
She is survived by: her sons, Kevin Brown (Robin) of East Thetford, VT and Kirk Brown (Karen) of Ellicott City, MD; her grandchildren, Rachael Lawrence, Lily, Connor, Patrick and Adam Brown; and her sister Dora Spaulding of Norwich, VT. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She later returned to school, earning a master's degree in Christian Education from the Hartford Seminary Foundation in Connecticut.
