He was predeceased by: his father Reginald Hansen; and his siblings, Joyce, Roger, Phillip, James, Bruce, Harold and Harley.

He is survived by: his wife Susan Demers; his children, Kim Brown of North Troy, VT and Scott Hansen (Shalena) of Huntington, VT; his grandchildren, Nicole Atkins, Katlyn Dingman, Alice, Leah and Hannah Hansen; his great grandchildren, Peyton, Emmet, Brady Atkins and Sophia Lizotte; his sister Jane; and his sisters-in-law, Margo Hansen and Janice Hansen.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Pope Memorial Frontier Animal Society, 243 Woods Farm Road, Newport, VT 05855.
