He was predeceased by: his mother Hazel Cota (Morse); his daughter Kathy Cota; his father Archie Sr. Cota; and his brothers, Arnold and Archie Cota.
He is survived by: his wife Melba Cota of North Troy, VT; his children, Stanley Cota (Anne) of Troy, VT, Douglas Cota (Tina Willis) of Newport, VT, Brian Cota (Terry) of Hardwick, VT, Keith Cota of Troy, VT, Peggy Richardson (Keith) of Lowell, VT and Janet Cota of Newport, VT; his grandson Robert Cota; and his great grandchildren, Nathaniel Cota and Aaliyah Descheneau. He is also survived by great grandchildren and many relatives.
