He was predeceased by: his siblings, Vivian Currier, Mabel King, George Hill and Darl Hill. He is survived by: his parents, Harry E. and Eva Hill (Washburn); his spouses, Marlene L. Liberty and Ludlow; his children, Howard Hill II of Northwood, Daniel Hill, Lorrie Hill, Nancy Barror of Springfield and Stephanie Lewis of Woodstock; and his siblings, Patricia Gannaway, Barry, Roy, Harry, Ruby, Doris and Darlene Hill. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
