It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Gilbert of North Pomfret, Vermont, born in Lowell, Vermont, who passed away on August 2, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Moses Chase and Rena Chase (Adams); her husbands, Orville A. DeCoff and Earl Gilbert; her daughter Mary Jo Balch; her grandson Michael DeCoff; and her siblings, Florence Rameor, Kathleen Chase, Lyle "Herbie" Chase, Norman Chase, Ronald "Curly" Chase, Dean Chase and Kenneth Chase.
She is survived by: her children, Norma "Micki" Peoples (David), Andrew DeCoff (Marie), Sally Weglarz (Ronald) and Peter DeCoff (Lee); her son-in-law George Balch; her stepchildren, Carol Merrill (Mike), Betty Powell (Arnie), Ann Montgomery (Dave) and Donald Gilbert (Tina); and her siblings, Howard "Chic" Chase and Ethlyn Wardwell. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and many extended family and friends.
