She was predeceased by: her parents, George Betka and Mary Betka; her husband Albert J. Schmidt; her son Stephen Schmidt; and her sister Georgia "Jo" Betka.
She is survived by: her daughter Nancy Scherer (Jim) of Newport, VT; her daughter-in-law Trisha Crowley of Champaign; her granddaughter Alix Schmidt (Alex Henriquez); her great grandchild Ben Isaac Schmidt of Midland, Michigan.; and her niece Patty Schmidt of Ormond Beach, Florida.. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
